James Ryan on Greens Senate ticket

I am very pleased to have been preselected No. 2 on the Greens NSW Senate ticket for the coming Federal Election.

More than ever Australia needs Greens to advocate for a clean energy future.  More than ever we need to work for a fair society in which the super profits of the mining boom are shared equally with all Australians.

THE Greens have preselected Cessnock City councillor James Ryan as its number two candidate on its Senate ticket at the next federal election in 2013.

A party spokesman said Greens NSW MP Cate Faehrmann would be the party’s first candidate on the ballot.

The sitting Greens NSW Senator Lee Rhiannon did not contest the ballot because she was not required to face the polls until the following federal election. Senators are elected for a six-year term.
