Industrial land firesale shows need for planning law reform

What the Herald story below doesn’t cover in detail is the ability of developers to commission and pay for environmental assessment reports. A report which criticises a proposed development can simply be put in the bottom draw and another consultant engaged to write a less critical report.

NSW planning law urgently need to be reformed so that developers do not directly engage consultants to write assessment reports.
